What a location.

If you’re trying to go off grid, this is the place. Waking up and walking out the front door to that view, sitting on loungers with a glass of wine watching the sunset paint the sky red, with nothing but cicadas in earshot… truly magical.

The place itself was well appointed, had great airflow (even in 35 Celsius average temps), and was reasonably private. Host made the check-in process very smooth, gave us local recommendations, and was present to answer the few questions we had during our stay. Friendly and helpful but respected our privacy. Lots to do in the area.

The lake on doorstep is a nice resource, but a short 5min drive will put you on the more well-visited lake if you want something a bit more on-the-beaten-path. Local restaurants if that’s your thing. Easy to opt-in or out of civilisation as much as you please. 100% recommend. Book with confidence. Also, do the walk up behind the cliffs – the views at the top are unbelievable. Thank you!!

We had a great vacation at El Arpa!
The location is really relaxing and the view is extraordinary.
The room itself had all the required neccessities for sleeping and cooking.
The on-site shop is a useful addition especially because the location is far from any other village with a supermarket (+-30 min drive).
The shop contains enough goods to create a fancy meal.
The hosts Rikke and Michael are super friendly and help with any questions you might have.
Being that this location is far from anything it is recommended to have a rental car to drive to El Arpa.
In the area there are several restaurants and activities which are conveniently summarised in a book currated by the hosts and is present in the room.

El Arpa is a wonderful place. Secluded, quiet, yet fully equipped.

Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. You can really feel the attention to details and the thought that was put into everything. They left us a booklet with all the information about the place and its surroundings. There was no network reception but the wifi worked well. It is really an ideal place for a quiet holiday in the middle of the nature, disconnect from the outside world. Thank you Michael ans Rikke for maintaining such a beautiful place and keeping it in good shape. We highly recommend this place.

Way too short...

The perfect place to unwind, relax, do very little and rediscover nature. We enjoyed swimming in the lake. We enjoyed walking round the finca, seeing the horses and the paragliders. We appreciated the amazing views from our veranda.
